24th September 98

As I reported last week, those of you fortunate enough to be in the NYC area, and able to get a ticket, can see Seal at the "GQ Men of the Year Awards" ceremony at New York City's Radio City Music Hall. Being his only live performance this year, you can bet it'll be one to remember.
The timing of the performance couldn't be better - the latest Entertainment Weekly reports that the release date of is new album, "Human Being" will now be November 17th. If you've never seen the man perform live then you should know that he has a fantastic stage presence, which means the show will be of great promotional value.
For those of us not fortunate to be in the locale (or have the cash to get there), then you'll be able to see Seal courtesy of VH-1. The whole performance will be broadcast be the music channel in the beginning of November.
The "GQ Men of the Year Awards" celebrates great men from areas such as music, film and sport, with a special awards for the environment and courage. Nominees for the awards will be announced on October 19th, with the winners being announced by Dennis Miller who hosts the awards for their second year.
The show will open with a performance from Paula Cole, but at this time no indication has been given as to the duration of Seal's performance.
