SEAL & HEIDI KLUM TO MARRY

According to numerous sources Seal has popped the question with supermodel girlfriend Heidi Klum. Our favourite singer is reported to have made the proposal on December 23rd at one of his favoured snowboarding destinations, the Canadian ski resort Whistler. Proof of Heidi's acceptance? An impressively huge canary diamond engagement ring she has since been spotted wearing, described as one witness at "...a serious rock."

The couple broke the news at a News Year's Eve party held at the Mexican resort Cuixmala by Alix Goldsmith Marcaccini, daughter of the late financier Sir James Goldsmith. Those at the party to share and celebrate the news include Quentin Tarantino, Simon and Yasmin Le Bon, Johnny Knoxville and Seal's old flame Tyra Banks.

In an recent interview with America's "Today" show, Heidi said she had "the best partner on the planet". Fans will already know that Seal's recent greatest hits album was dedicated to his adopted child, Heidi's daughter Leni.

No date has been given for the wedding.
