28th August 2002 |
Those waiting eagerly to get their hands on new Jakatta single 'My Vision' are going to have to wait a little longer. The single's street date has been pushed back one week to the Monday 30th September. For anyone who's been living in the bush, the single features Seal's not inconsiderable vocal talents, and sees something of a return to his recording roots when he lent his vocals to the 1990 Adamski track "Killer". Responsible for the promotion of the single are LD Publicity who kindly sent us the latest press release which you see below. In recent correspondence, LD's Amber McKenzie told FLP "It's been C-listed at Radio One already - pretty unprecedented really." Amber went on to tell us that shooting for the video, which has been taking place in Namibia, has been completed. She told us "the single is going to be huge", but we knew that already, didn't we?. PRESS RELEASE JAKATTA RELEASES NEW SINGLE 'MY VISION' ON MONDAY 30 SEPTEMBER Monday 30 September sees the release of the hot new single 'My Vision' from Jakatta. Featuring the stunning and distinctive vocal talents of Seal the single has already been a Pete Tong Essential New Tune on his Radio 1 Show and has now been added to the station's playlist an amazing eight weeks from release! 'My Vision' is the latest landmark release in the already eclectic and audacious career of producer extraordinare Dave Lee. It is one that has reached across the breadth of all dance music genres from house to disco all the way across to jazz and funk without ever compromising. The 21st century cinematic sound that has become the Jakatta trademark is here in all it's evocative glory but this time it is combined with a driving bass line that will be sweeping across the UK dancefloors. Radio 1's Pete Tong said of the tune: "Well, sometimes you just have to give way to a fantastic, poptastic moment, and I'm afraid this is one of those - it's just got it all! For the summer, sounds great on radio and puts a smile on your face." Seal added: 'In life there are key moments and the further on in life we go, so grows our ability to recognise them as they happen. My experience with the Jakatta team has indeed been one such moment.' This is the third release from Jakatta's eagerly anticipated album 'Visions' (released on 14 October). Having already scored two HUGE hits with 'American Dream' which went to number three and 'So Lonely,' this single is another slice of quality music produced and written by the man who refuses to be pigeonholed under one guise. The single will be available on 12", CD and MC and features remixes from Layo & Bushwacka. 'Tonight wonderful things are about to happen...' |
