19/Apr NEW ALBUM THIS YEAR
No name yet (though it's currently being dubbed "6") or firm release date, but 2010
will see a new album. Announced as being released after
the European tour (see below), Seal
Tweeted that it'll land in September. More as it's revealed.
19/Apr EURO TOUR ANNOUNCED
Just confirmed is a far-reaching European tour.
Not content with sticking to the western european countries, Seal will be taking a run around the bloc, visiting
Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Italy, Spain, Portugal and France, amongst others, also get a visit.
Curiosly, Germany and the UK don't get look-in <sob> Maybe we'll be treated to extended tours after the new
album is out..?
Tour Dates here
11/Nov NEW "HITS" ALBUM - EXTENDED "BEST"

November 30th (UK) & December 8th (US) see the release of a "refresh" to 2004's "Best" album.
Encompassing all 18 years (so far) of Seal's career, the new compilation album includes all-time
faves like "Kiss From A Rose" and "Future Love Paradise" with the addition of tracks from 2007's
"System" and 2008's "Soul".
It doesn't stop there. Nope! There are a couple of new tracks top 'n tailing the album. First
there's a cover of Ashford & Simpson's "I Am Your Man" - expect a single out about, erm, now
(in the US, at least). Then there's Seal's rendition of the Sly & the Family Stone's "Thank You".
A second double CD "Deluxe Edition" features, as with the "Best" 2CD set, more tracks and new medley
from the "Soul" tour. Warner also reports a "Limited Edition" including a singel CD and DVD - no
details just yet on the content, but it could be live stuff from the Soul tour.
I've seen retailers with track lists that differ from those supplied by Warner (and listed in FLP's
Anthology) - still tracking their authenticity...

Hendrix's "Hey Joe" or Bowie's "Quicksand", "Soul" is Seal's delivers his take on a collection of
long standing soul favourites - from Sam Cooke's "A Change Is Gonna Come" to "If You Don't Know Me By Now" originally
by Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes. for full album info and track details, check out the
Anthology.
Details on rest of world release soon.
20/Mar SEAL VS. PAPARAZZI
I don't normally acknowledge this sort of rag tat - the kids don't need the encouragement. This time I'm just letting the urge.
Story goes, after dinner at LA's Madeo, Seal's with Heidi waiting for his ride, barricaded by paps. When one of the camera weilding horde ask for a handshake, he asserts that they're scum and he doesn't like what they do. Now the rags suggest the target is a fan, but to be honest, as a fan I wouldn't dream of sticking my phone or shakey hand cam in his face while asking for a handshake - that's just rude.
100% in character, the rags sensationalise the whole thing as Seal "ranting" and "flipping out". In fact, he was anything but that. Props! (or whatever it is them kids say)
12/Nov GIVE IN TO THE SYSTEM

Our US cousins will have to wait 'til tomorrow (Nov 13) to get their hands & ears on the album. Bless.
