After catching the Seal show in Toronto last fall, I felt, that among the dozens and dozens of live shows I have seen, no one maintained a grip on the audience like Seal. Stage presence galore.

About the quality of the concert itself, one thing that was most appreciated is that virtually all of the songs were either new arrangements or obscure mixes, or combinations of the above. I have virtually all remixes from Seal 1, (not from Seal 2, for the ones I do have seem rather boring), and still was surprised by some twists and turns the songs had. If half the crowd there was like myself and had played Seal's albums until the laser cut through the CD, then these arrangements were a real treat.

Hats off to a man who keeps surprising us with original songwriting, thought-provoking lyrics, and a live know-how that seems to come from nowhere.
